Hey guys! Today I'd like to share my three favorite Harry Potter parodies! Here they are:

My favorite witch: Bellatrix Lestrange

Ah, Bellatrix Lestrange. Who doesn't love her evil insanity? I adore her! Especially the movie Bellatrix, portayed by my very favorite actress Helena Bonham Carter.

Her looks make my smile every single time! I'm not much of a "dark side" supporter, but seriously, I'd join the death eaters just to spend some time with... Wait! I wanted to say, just to spend some time with Bellatrix, but no. Seriously. She'd probably torture me for fun. When I read the book I didn't really care that much about her, but when I saw the Azkaban breakout on screen and heard her crazy laughter, I totally fell in love with her character:

Who doesn't love that scene right? As a Bellatrix fan I'm not really looking forward to her death in Hallows 2. Even though it's Molly's revenge and she's a racist murdering evil bitch... I don't want her to die.

My favorite wizards: Fred and George Weasley

Oh dude, I love Fred and George. They're my very favorite characters and even though most people at Hogwarts think they're annoying... I really really love them.

And of course... They had the best scene in all 7 movies (I haven't seen the 8th one yet)!

I mean like... Just look at that! That's just an epic way to leave your school isn't it?

But now, dear people... A lesson in telling them apart!

It's not really hard though.

- Fred has a scar on his left eyebrow

- George has two moles on his neck

- Fred's eyes are futher apart than George's

- George has a deeper voice than Fred

I didn't do a video of them growing up because I think it would be too sad with George loosing his ear Fred dying at the end. And yes, I will cry when he dies. I cried in the book too but I really don't want to see it on screen. I love Fred! It will feel like... Seeing a family member die... I just... No, please! I'll jump into the screen to save my dear Fred. I'm not ready yet to see him leave us.

R.I.P Fred... You will be missed. I can't imagine the Weasley family without you.

So here it is, J.K. Rowling's special announcement. Do you guys like it? Honestly, I kinda expected her to finally tell us Hogwarts is real and we're all invited to go there, but still. I mean, isn't this awesome? I'm so excited!

Oh yes, Harry Potter's been my youth... Wanna see a timeline?

2001:
November: I saw Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for the first time

2002:
May: I got Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone on video
May/June: My mom made me a cloak and wizard hat, got me a broomstick and a wand
June: My neighbors bought the DVD with a sorting hat function on it which sorted me into Ravenclaw
July: I got my first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
November: I saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on my classmate's birthday party

2003:
January: Me and my classmate (and best friend at the time) decided to begin our own school of magic (didn't work out though)
March: Became to doubt the sorting hat and thought I should actually be a Slytherin
June: I read Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire just before Order of the Phoenix came out

2004:
May: I was the only kid in my class who was allowed to see the Prisoner of Azkaban because of the 9+ rating

2005:
July: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was the first book I bought at 00:00 on the release date
December: I became 11 on December 26 2005 so from that moment I started waiting for my Hogwarts acceptance letter

2006:
September: I didn't get my Hogwarts acceptance letter...

2007:
July: Second (and last) time I waited till midnight on the release date of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to get the book I've been waiting for ever since I was 6.

2008:
September: Decided to be a Ravenclaw again after me and my classmate (and friend) told me she was a Ravenclaw too.

2009:
Apart from the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie and The Tales of Beedle the bard I don't quite remember other events. I was probably too busy re reading the series or trying to watch all 6 movies in a row.

2010:
December: Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 twice and realized it had to be over soon, even though I couldn't quite believe it.

2011:
February: Started re reading the whole series again
April: I got the elder wand! I'm currently searching for the resurrection stone and the invisibility cloak.

Planning for the rest of the year:
July 11/13: Harry Potter marathon + premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
July 14: ...I don't know... Does life make sense when it's all over? I don't think so.

Emma Watson growing up

Aww... Do you remember how sweet Emma Watson was when she was small?

No seriously... She didn't quite look like the Hermione from the books, but still.

I don't think she changed that much but I was glad she got rid of the bushy hair when she was about 13.

She was really pretty. Her looks didn't change that much and I'm so happy they chose her for the part of Hermione.

But in 2010... A few months after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was a wrap... We saw... THIS:

EMMA?! What did you do to your hair? And why?! I mean like... No, please!

Oh well... She still has her signature bushy hair on screen :-)

Rupert Grint growing up

Awww Ron... He's everyone's favorite character, isn't he? Like J.K. Rowling said, he's easy to love. That's so true.
Rupert Grint was an excellent choice for the part of Ronald Wealsey.. I mean, just look at him:

Wasn't he cute? I think he didn't change that much during these 10 years.

The only notable change was his hairdo throughout the years.

Hmm.. I like it when boys have long hair but no... Rupert, you're amazing, but this was just too much.

He really became a grown up man. Seriously, just look at him now!

To me he will always be Ron Weasley. I don't know why. I actually never call him Rupert, not even with people who know his actual name is Rupert. To me he really is Ron. I think that probably has something to do with his hair...

Daniel Radcliffe growing up

I remember seeing Daniel Radcliffe on screen for the very first time. I was 6 years old and he was (I guess) 11. He seemed huge!
When I look back at his old pictures I see a tiny little kid and I can't imagine why I thought he was all grown up.

He didn't quite change that much for me. I kept growing, but he did too.
I remember when he had this part in Equus though and he was gonna be naked on stage... Unfortunately there are no clear nude pics of him online.. This is the best I could find:

We got used to him and he really became the Harry. Our Harry. If someone ever decides to do a remake and they choose some random kid to play Harry... No. Daniel Radcliffe is the Harry Potter of our generation.

Movie memories

...How Hedwig's Theme kept changing and became darker in every movie?

...How obvious it was that Ron and Hermione would fall in love after Hermione ran to Harry and Ron in the great hall after being petrified? AND DIDN'T HUG HIM?!

...That Peeves didn't appear in the movies?

...That Dumbledore's appearance totally changed after Richard Harris's death?

...That Professor Flitwick's appearance totally changed as well, for no reason though.

Books vs Movies

The movies are totally different from the books. I'm super addicted to the movies and I love them so much. But actually I really prefer the books. Because the whole (complicated) story has to be fit in 8 times 2,5 hours there is no space left for humor. That's sad, because I think that's Harry Potter's power...

What I like better about the books:

- You feel more related to the trio, as if you're one of their friends

- You sometimes find yourself giggling with nobody else around

- You're 100% sure it's the way J.K. Rowling wanted it

- You can always bring them with you, wherever you go

What I like better about the movies:

- They have Helena Bonham Carter playing Bellatrix Lestrange

- You actually see the kids growing up

- The music is amazing! Hedwig's Theme really became the Harry Potter anthem, even for the books

- They're really realistic and kinda make you believe it's all true

So actually... It doesn't really matter. Harry Potter rules in every way.

The books

The Harry Potter books. I know they're children's books, but they're the best books I've ever read. Ever tried reading the whole series non-stop? I have. Weirdest experience! When you finish book 7 you have no idea what to do next. I'm currently re-reading the series again and I hope I can finish it before July 15. I'm now reading the Order of the Phoenix and I'm on page 443 so I think I'll make it ;-)

I read the first book by myself but I read 2, 3 and 4 with my mother. We took an awful lot of time for it just before I went to bed. The rising of Voldemort was the scariest part of all books together. I was 8 at the time and didn't want to read any further because I didn't know what to expect and book 5 wasn't out yet, so I really didn't know.

Book 5 wasn't easy too.. I didn't quite like the lawsuit.. I thought he was going to be expelled so I asked a random woman in the train (I saw her reading the book) if he was gonna be expelled or not. Luckily he wasn't!

The weirdest book I've read was Deathly Hallows. I couldn't believe it was the ending. I liked it but it was strange... I had the same feeling as I have now, it feels like somebody's dying and I can't do anything about it. No, I cannot describe it. The feeling got really strong when I read the epilogue. At first I wasn't quite happy with it but now I got used to it I really really appreciate it because we, the fans, now know that all is well :-)

By the way, J.K. Rowling made a special announcement yesterday. "Potter More". She's gonna do something Harry again...

Whether it is an eighth book, the encyclopedia, an actual school like Hogwarts... Nobody knows.

How I fell in love with Harry Potter

I fell in love with Harry Potter in 2001, when I was 6 years old and the first movie came out. I went to see it (dubbed in Dutch) in the cinema and fell in love with it immediately.

Back then DVDs (and videos) didn't come out very soon so usually I forgot about the movie. Didn't happen with this one.

When I was 7 I underwent surgery to have my appendix removed. Of course my mother told me I was a big girl when it was done so I got to choose a toy. But then... I saw Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone came out on video and DVD. We didn't have a DVD player yet so we bought the video.

Well, of course I couldn't stop playing it and practically watched it every day. Or twice a day. Or even more.

That summer I got the best present I've ever gotten... The book. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, written by J.K. Rowling. Of course I had no idea who she was back then, but hey, I was 7. I read it all by myself and became addicted to it.

Really addicted.

My mom made me a cloak, I bought a broom... Yes, you may call it sick, but err... I'm still that addicted.

The final month of Harry Potter

My name is Lynn and I'm 16 years old. I'm excited yet sad about something... I've been a Harry Potter fan ever since I was 6 years old and next month I have to see it ending. No more books to look forward to, no more movies to see in the cinema... I just don't know how to handle it all.

From June 15 'til July 15 I'll be posting memories, reviews, my opinions and practically everything I have to say about Harry Potter and my feelings on the finale of this magical era.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

So... Who's excited for this movie? I definitely am! I saw the trailer in 3D when I went to Pirates of the Caribbean 4 last week and I literally screamed, haha. Of course I've read the book a billion times and know the whole story by heart, I'm still very excited for the movie.

Unfortunately... We still have to wait until July 15.
